A new year, a new month, and even a new day bring us a feeling of hope. Something new is beginning. We have a clean slate to make this new year, new month, and even this new day better than the past.
Today’s verse from II Corinthians reminds us that we are a new creation in Christ. Our past is gone.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.
II Corinthians 5:17
One of the greatest joys of the Christian life is knowing that all your past mistakes and sins have been forgiven and forgotten. You don’t have to live every day with the burden of your past. You are a new creation and the old is passed away.
Today, it’s time to let go of what’s holding you back. You can stop dwelling on past mistakes. When you only see your mistakes, you miss everything that is good now.
It’s a new beginning today. In Christ, you are a new creation.
