Beat the Winter Blues: 25 Creative February Homeschooling Activities
February is a month filled with topics to make learning in your homeschool fun.
This post has 25 engaging topics and activities that homeschool moms can teach in February.
One of my favorite parts of homeschooling is adding interesting and engaging activities my children enjoy. We can choose topics the kids enjoy and what to learn more about, which makes learning more interesting and fun.
Here are 25 topics you can teach in February (each of these topics can be developed into a unit study for more in-depth learning):
- Black History Month: Explore significant figures, events, and contributions of African Americans throughout history.
- Valentine’s Day: Discuss the history of Valentine’s Day and create handmade cards or crafts for friends and family.
- Winter Weather: Study weather patterns, snowflakes, and the science behind winter. Create a unit study focusing on winter weather.
- Groundhog Day: Learn about the tradition of Groundhog Day and the science of weather prediction. How accurate have the groundhog predictions been over the years?
