The message of Christmas is that Jesus brought joy to the world.

We don’t have to look very far to see people struggling. You might be struggling with financial stress, broken relationships, health issues or emotional disappointments this Christmas season.

For those who grieve the loss of a family member or friend, the holidays are always a time when this loss is felt more deeply.

The Angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all people.”
Luke 2:10

No matter our circumstances, in Jesus, we can still have great joy. The message of Jesus is hope and joy. After the shepherds heard the angel’s message, they immediately went out to tell others (Luke 2:15).

Some day, Jesus will make all the wrongs in our world right. Jesus wants you to cast all your cares and worries on Him. He alone can meet all your needs. Jesus brings healing to our physical health problems and our broken relationships.

When Jesus arrived at the first Advent, not everyone could see who He was. They did not accept that He was the long-promised Messiah.

Remember that believing is seeing the joy of Jesus. Once you see Jesus, you see His work everywhere, even when others don’t see it.

Let us not get so lost in all the Christmas hustle that we forget to share the true joy of Christmas.
