Isaiah 1:18 – Whiter than snow

Isaiah 1:18

A few days ago, I was taking a shower and I grabbed my bottle of body wash. The body wash is supposed to be white, but instead, when I squeezed the bottle, the soap came out pink/red. I immediately knew which of my kids had put food coloring in my body wash.

As I looked at the soap, I thought about how this soap could never be pure white again. There was no way for me to take the pink food coloring out and make the soap white and pure again.

Then I considered how Jesus washes us and makes us whiter than snow. How amazing it is that the blood of Jesus takes away the stain of our sin.

“Come now, and let’s reason together,” says Yahweh: “Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

Isaiah 1:18
