Philippians 4:19 God will Supply Your Needs

Philippians 4:19 God meets our needs

This morning I was listening to the news and they had a story about the current shortage of semi-conductors and how it was impacting car prices (and of course, the price of everything that needs a semi-conductor). If you scroll through a few headlines, you will likely see stories about gas, oil, and food shortages, too.

When we hear these stories of potential shortages for food and products we need for every day life, it can create anxiety and worry. We crave certainty and assurance to feel safe. We live in uncertain times that is causing us anxiety.

Today’s verse reminds us that God has more than enough wealth to handle all our needs.

My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19

In this closing chapter of Philippians, Paul describes how he has faced situations of need and hunger, but then he has also had more than enough. Paul advises learn from both situations when you have plenty and when you don’t. God is with us through all things.

During these times, Paul encourages the Philippians (and us) to continue giving and helping other Christians. By giving, God will bless your gifts.

Paul closes the chapter by saying that God will provide for all our needs according to his riches and glory in Christ Jesus.

God is ready and able to bless us by meeting our physical needs and our spiritual needs. As we struggle with physical or spiritual needs, the miracle of God’s provision and grace help us grow in our faith to the glory of Jesus.

If you have a need to today, either spiritual or physical, ask God to meet your need. Trust that He is able to meet all your needs and be open to learn and grow in your faith from the struggle you face.
