As I close this series of verses about mothers, this verse from Proverbs 31:28 seems like the perfect finish.
When we look back at our lives, we will remember many moments, many days and many people. Being called “blessed” by your children seems like a penultimate, one of the very best things, to be said about us.
Her children rise up and call her blessed. Her husband also praises her.

This verse is one of the last in Proverbs. As I read this verse, I ask myself, what did this woman do that caused her children to call her blessed?
Proverbs 31 gives us many reasons why she is blessed.
A summary of this chapter would be a woman who works day and night to build up her family. She cares for her family, she teaches her family, she shows respect to husband.
She is never idol. She gets up early and works all day.
She manages her home. She ensures her children have food and clothing.
She buys and sells things to meet the needs of her family.
As she shows respect to her husband, he is respected by others. Her husband is not worried necessary things will not be done.
She cares for those in need.
One thing I find interesting about this chapter is that it doesn’t mention that she teaches or trains her children Biblical truth. But everything about the chapter is that she is setting an example for her children to follow when they are grown.
By living her life as an example, she is teaching them. Don’t underestimate how much your children look up to you and observe what you do. Use your example to them as a great influence in their lives.
Be the person you want your children to be. Give them an amazing example to follow. Be like the woman in Proverbs 31.
