Are you tired this morning?
Mom to mom, I feel tired today. In this season of life, we all have so many things happening at once. It’s easy to feel tired physically and mentally all the time. Here’s a word of encouragement for you.
I know you feel overwhelmed taking care of your home, caring for your family, homeschooling, working, church/faith activities and the list goes on and on. You might feel that no matter how much you do, it’s just not enough.
When we are tired, I find it makes parenting even harder. I get frustrated my kids aren’t doing what I want or acting how I want them to act. I worry they are not learning and internalizing the important lessons. I get overwhelmed with the constant negotiations (children really could be the best lawyers, they know how to argue a side and sometimes they don’t give up).
But, the Lord knows the work we are doing. He knows the importance we place on raising our children to honor him when they are grown. He will give you the strength you need for this day, this week and this year.
Although you are tired, keep doing what you know is right. You will find at the end of the day, you have the strength you need mentally and physically for each day. Don’t worry about tomorrow, just focus on today.
